The Creation of liveyourlife

The liveyourlife concept was formulated by Sharon O'Neill in mid 2000 whilst she was having some 'time out' from her work as a lawyer. As a senior associate in a leading Sydney law firm, she worked long hours under tight deadlines often feeling disillusioned, stressed, and 'slightly out of control'. Those feelings arose not so much from her work environment but her realisation that her life lacked learning, growth, and rewarding experiences she desired. After almost 6 years of study and a similar period working as a lawyer, she felt compelled to resign in order to re-assess her life and start to live her life to the full.

Sharon quickly realised that feelings of disillusionment, stress and fatigue were common amongst many individuals across a broad range of industries. It appeared to her that those feelings arose largely due to a perceived lack of 'balance' between work and personal/family lives. One of the most obvious consequences (in an organisational sense) seemed to be high employee turnover rates in many companies and professional organisations.

Sharon recognised that it was in the interest of every organisation to develop and promote a healthy work-life balance culture and provide opportunities for personal development.

The liveyourlife concept now enables organisations to provide their employees with truly unique, personal and memorable life experiences. The liveyourlife Concept

liveyourlife, the first of its kind in Australia, gives organisations the practical means to offer their employees and customers innovative, rewarding 'life experiences' as incentives and rewards.
